Heves is the Turkish musical alter ego of Ceylan İpek El, owner of Kindergarten Records and SOI SAUCE Records, and partner of MiniMüzikhol, one of Istanbul’s longest-standing independent electronic music institutions.

Rooted in the Mediterranean and Aegean culture that shaped El, Heves brings its melodic memory, emotional directness and lyrical sensibility into contemporary Turkish music. These roots are not used as decoration. They form the emotional language of every song.

At the centre of Heves are romantic relationships in all their shifting forms: attraction, intimacy, longing, distance, separation and the things left unsaid between two people. Predominantly sung in Turkish, her songs carry the warmth of the coast alongside the private complexity of modern love.

Her defining songs, Gelgit, Sırılsıklam and Şaşkın, introduce this world through melodies and lyrics shaped by the emotional rhythms of Mediterranean and Aegean culture.
